Super Bowl LX, which will be held on February 8 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, will not only draw thousands of NFL fans but also the attention of U.S. immigration authorities.
In recent hours, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) confirmed that agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will conduct immigration enforcement operations in the vicinity of the stadium during the year’s biggest sporting event.

Will there be ICE operations at Super Bowl LX?
According to official information, ICE will be present at Super Bowl LX as part of a broad federal security deployment. Although no specific locations or the number of agents deployed were detailed, the DHS assured that the operations are part of standard protocols for high-profile mass events.
“DHS is committed to working with our local and federal partners to ensure the Super Bowl is safe for everyone involved, as we do with all major sporting events”, the agency said in a statement.
Authorities compared this type of deployment to those used at international events such as the World Cup, highlighting that it represents a comprehensive response by the federal government.
ICE issues warning to migrants ahead of the Super Bowl
Tricia McLaughlin Yoho, DHS Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, told TMZ that details about future operations and assigned personnel will not be disclosed for national security reasons.
However, the official sent a direct message to people who are in the United States without legal status, warning that they could face consequences if they attend the event without valid documentation.
“Those who are here legally and are not violating any other laws have nothing to fear”, McLaughlin said.
This statement has generated concern among migrant communities, especially in California, one of the states with the largest Latino and undocumented migrant populations.
