One of Miami’s most beloved cultural celebrations is making its triumphant return next summer. The Miami Takeover festival is gearing up for its 18th edition, promising an action-packed four-day extravaganza running from Friday, July 24 through Monday, July 27, 2026. This year’s expanded programming has already created significant excitement among fans and attendees.
Opening Night Comedy and Music Spectacular
The festivities kick off with The Art of Laughter / Comedy Vybez Festival at the iconic Miami Beach Bandshell. Recognized as the largest Black stand-up comedy and R&B concert festival in Miami Beach, the evening will showcase ten acclaimed comedians performing individual sets. The show will be hosted by local cultural curator Ingrid B alongside comedian Spunky Robinson, with comedy legends Joe Clair, Tony Woods, and Ashima Franklin headlining the laughs.
Music lovers won’t be disappointed either. Washington D.C.’s renowned Top 5 Band and Atlanta’s Quinn & The Jukebox Band, led by former Blackstreet frontman Quinn, will deliver electrifying live performances. In a special addition sure to delight fans, organizers have announced a Toni Braxton Tribute Experience featuring R&B vocalist Latasha Bla’q. The venue will also feature an impressive Black art exhibition curated by local visual artist Rodney Royal, paying homage to legendary Black comedians.
Four Days of Non-Stop Entertainment
Opening night is just the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable weekend. The schedule includes Friday Night Live, an energetic after-hours celebration with top DJs spinning late into the night. Saturday and Sunday bring daytime pool parties, a dedicated R&B event hosted by Asia with DJ Quicksilver on the decks, and the festival’s signature all-white mega yacht party that has become a must-attend tradition.
