The President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced that the countries comprising the new 2026 Peace Board will allocate more than $5 billion in humanitarian aid and reconstruction for Gaza, one of the regions most affected by the recent conflict in the Middle East.

The official announcement will be made on February 19 during the first formal meeting of the organization at the Donald J. Trump Peace Institute in Washington, D.C.

What is the Peace Board created by Trump?

The Peace Board, founded and chaired by Donald Trump, was initially created to oversee the peace plan in the Gaza Strip following the conflict between Hamas and Israel.

Subsequently, the organization expanded its mandate to intervene in other international conflicts with the aim of promoting diplomatic solutions and stabilization mechanisms.

Trump assured on his social network Truth Social that the member states have committed financial resources and personnel to ensure security in the region.

More than 5 billion dollars for Gaza: what will it be invested in?

According to the U.S. president, the funds will be allocated to:

  • Infrastructure reconstruction projects
  • Humanitarian assistance programs
  • Basic services for the civilian population
  • Economic development initiatives

Additionally, the participating countries will contribute thousands of personnel to an International Stabilization Force, along with support for local police forces, in order to ensure security and order in Gaza.
