“Today, their time is up,” warns the White House

In his speech, Carter assured that the Donald Trump administration will not allow drug traffickers to continue affecting American communities.

“This is the message I really want to convey to all the drug traffickers who have been operating within the American community: today your time is up. You will no longer control us, dominate us, or take the lives of our children. It’s over”, said Carter.

The official made it clear that the White House is seeking a radical change in drug control strategy to curb the operations of cartels such as CJNG, the Sinaloa cartel, and the Beltrán Leyva cartel.

Strengthen Mexico-United States cooperation to clean the supply chain

Sara Carter pointed out that the key to combating drug trafficking into the United States is to strengthen oversight at border crossings and trade chains.

“How are we going to secure that supply chain and ensure it runs smoothly, and that the trucks returning across the border don’t come back full of drugs? That’s where Mexico and the United States can work together. Let’s clean up the supply chain and hold all companies accountable; we can’t allow them to turn a blind eye”, he stated.

The official emphasized that cartels constantly adapt their methods to evade controls and take advantage of any gaps in border or business regulation, making effective coordination between both countries indispensable.

Mexican cartels seek new drug routes to the United States

During the summit, Carter emphasized that criminal organizations are constantly seeking innovative ways to introduce drugs into the United States, which requires a comprehensive approach that combines intelligence, international cooperation, and corporate responsibility.

“We understand that the cartels do not want to stop, these cartels CJNG, Sinaloa cartel, Beltrán Leyva cartel… all the offshoots of them will try to find new and better ways to introduce their supplies into the United States”, he assured.

The White House emphasizes that only with close coordination between Mexico and the United States, along with monitoring the transportation of goods, will it be possible to curb cross-border drug trafficking and reduce the impact of cartels on communities.
